Installation

Download the BuchNotizApp from the download page and install it on your Android device.

Initial setup

1. Launch the app

On first launch, you will be asked to choose a username and password. These credentials are needed for synchronization with the server.

2. Connect to server

Open the settings via the gear icon and navigate to "Synchronization". Enter the address of your sync server:

``` https://sync.mydomain.com ```

Tap "Test Connection" to make sure the app can reach the server. A green checkmark will appear on successful connection.

3. Create notes

Tap the "+" icon to create a new note. You can organize notes into categories:

- Ideas - Spontaneous thoughts and inspiration - Characters - Notes about your characters - Plot - Scene and plot ideas - Research - Background information

Each note can be assigned to a book project so it appears in the correct project in the desktop app.

Quick note widget

Add the quick note widget to your home screen to capture ideas in seconds without having to open the app first.

Offline usage

The app works fully offline. Notes are stored locally and automatically synchronized as soon as an internet connection is available. In case of conflicts, you will be asked which version to keep.

- Use color labels to quickly distinguish notes visually - Enable automatic synchronization in the settings for seamless syncing - Use the search function to quickly find specific notes
